👋 Hey there!
If you're here, it means MagmaStream has caught your attention — and we appreciate that. If you find this package useful, consider giving it a ⭐ on GitHub. It helps more than you'd think.
What is MagmaStream?
MagmaStream is a Lavalink v4 client for Discord bots, with NodeLink support through the same manager, node, and player API. A manager can operate a mixed pool of both backends.
These current docs describe the stable 2.10.3 release. Use the version menu for the previous 2.10.2 docs. Start with the release notes, migration guide, and NodeLink setup.
It runs on an event-driven architecture, giving you precise control over everything from node connections to track playback. A modular plugin system, built-in state persistence across three storage backends, and broad Lavalink plugin support make it suitable for both simple setups and complex production bots.
Who is it for?
Erela.js migrators — the API is intentionally familiar, so the transition is quick.
Developers who want a fast setup — sensible defaults and no mandatory extra dependencies mean you can have music playing in minutes.
Developers who need flexibility — a rich feature set, extensible architecture, and support for every major Discord library make it adaptable to complex requirements.
